Ship model Bajkal

During the world shipmodels championship the copy of this model, made by me, got a bronze medal.

A few words about transport Bajkal model (a 1:200 scale model).
It took about 7 months to build the model.
All the works made by Volodya were made from scratch.

I used following materials:

  • wood: pear,maple,ebony and hornbeam
  • metal: bronze, copper and aluminium

A little history of the ship. Made in Finland in 1846. Sailed to the Far East under the command of
Nevel'skij.
